IPSC Ontario is the only official IPSC organization in Ontario. It began in the early eighties
to promote practical shooting in Ontario. IPSC Ontario has a large number of affiliated clubs
throughout Ontario that are also actively involved in the promotion of practical shooting.
Each year, the practical shooting members of the
affiliated clubs elect from their ranks a "Club Rep".
The position of Club Rep is important in that they are the liason between the club and the
IPSC Ontario Board of Directors.
Here are some facts about IPSC Ontario
- There are more than 1000 members of IPSC Ontario.
- IPSC Ontario hosts more than 150 matches throughout Ontario every year.
- IPSC Ontario over a dozen Level II matches on the Match Calendar each year
- IPSC Ontario hosts several International Level III matches each year
- IPSC Ontario currently has over 30 affiliated Ontario clubs
- Every year we certify number of new Range Officers and Chief Range Officers
- IPSC Ontario Instructors generally train about 100 to 150 new Black Badge holders per year
- IPSC Ontario publishes periodical SitRep newsletter for it's members
- IPSC Ontario promotes practical shooting

To Become A Member - The First Year
In order to become an active shooting member in IPSC Ontario you are required to successfully
complete our
Black Badge Training Program. This usually consists of approximately thee or four
hours of classroom information and about sixteen hours of actual shooting on a range.
If you have had some shooting experience, and think you'd like to participate in a very unique,
and dynamic shooting sport, then you've come to the right place.

Junior Program
If you are not yet eighteen years of age and would like to become a member of IPSC Ontario,

New Resident of Canada
If you are a resident of Canada coming to us from another IPSC Region, and have been active in that
Region during the last two years, you may join IPSC Ontario without first having to complete the
Black Badge Training Program. You will of course be asked to provide proof that you were in fact
an active member of that Region.

Dues
Your first year's dues for IPSC Ontario are $70.
Anyone else in the same household wishing to join may do so at $45. per member, per year.
Any new (full $70.00 member) joining after September 1st. in any year is automatically
credited with the next years' membership. If the subsequent member in the household wants to pay $80.00
instead of the $45.00 then they too get the next year's membership included.
Dues for IPSC Ontario are in fact $80.00 per year but you get the $10.00 savings your first year
as a gift towards your first IPSC match fee so you can go and qualify for your Black Badge.
Membership in IPSC Canada
As a new member of IPSC Ontario you are also a member of IPSC Canada.
Once we have you in our database you will receive an IPSC Canada Membership Cards that normally shows
(among other things), your name and your Black Badge number. Sometimes a membership card is mailed to
you before you get your Black Badge and if so, your card will show "PROVISIONAL" member.
This simply indicates that at the time we issued the card, we hadn't received your blue Provisional Card.
If you should receive a card with the word "PROVISIONAL" on it let us know and we will
update you accordingly.
Membership Renewals
Membership fees are due on or before November 30 of each year. Members renewing can save $10.00 by
paying before December 31. If IPSC Ontario receives your membership dues on or before November 30,
then you save $10.00 If we receive it after that date, the normal fee of $80.00 must be paid.
For subsequent members in the household, the $45.00 fee also reverts back to the usual fee of $55.00
if not received by December 31.
To be eligible for the $10.00 savings, the envelope must be
Post Marked by Canada Post on or before November 30.
